Materials for Employment Review

The Employment Review Module is a module that reviews all of the digital skills for using a computer that are in Modules 1 – 5 and 7 – 8 but through an employment lens. Learners use the digital skills in real world tasks such as organizing files on their desktops (hovering, clicking, dragging and dropping, etc.) or practicing etiquette in a Zoom meeting.

  • Instructors/Trainers may want to start with the Employment Review Module if learners show through the Needs Assessment that they already have some basic digital skills.
  • If at any time learners demonstrate in the Employment Review Module that they have not mastered a skill being used in the lesson, the Instructor/Trainer should take the learners back to the corresponding lesson on the skill in the Digital Literacy Curriculum Resource for more in depth learning and practice.

Note that the Employment Review is in a different format than modules 1-8. The lessons are in the form of PowerPoint presentations with notes so they are easier to use for facilitators without a teaching background.
